If you're new, you may be wondering what the term Income Engineering refers to...

In life we often see those who spend most of their time waiting to see what fortune will bring.  We all know, however, that vague hopes and passive dispair have little to do with success.  If we want a house or a bridge, it's obvious that waiting won't help- we design, plan, muster the resources and create the structure that we need.  Likewise, in order to make a life conform more closely to our own ambitions, we must actively design and create life itself.  (I call this Existential Engineering)  And, let's face it, all the great ambitions, all the dreams big and small, start- and too often end- with income!  Most of us just try for the best job we can get at the time, and struggle along trying to make the income from that job sustain our lives and save some pennies for that far-off "someday" of vacation - or even retirement... Obtain a job, and then fit life into the tiny profit/time margin that it affords.  And, if we are honest with ourselves, no job affords much security or enjoyment.  Even if one enjoys one's job, is it worth spending 40+years of your life on just that, to the exclusion of all the other experiences that life has to offer?  I think not.  Most of us will undergo hardships due to sudden job loss, we will expend the years of our greatest physical and mental fitness, and only about 1 to 2% will ever achieve the final reward of retirement with self-sufficiency...  Those who can do anything remarkable in retirement are far fewer still.  Relying exclusively on a job always results in tragedy of one kind or another - either by sudden strokes of adversity injurious to one's health and relationships, or simply the quiet trickling-away of a life misspent.

So it is obvious that to make life what we want it to be, Income Engineering is the first order of business.  To deliberately plan a framework to create the profit/time/security combinations that will facilitate the lifestyle, things, and experiences that we want in life.

If one has tremendous amounts of investment capitol, there are plenty of financial planners, brokers, etc. who can show him the traditional methods of investment.  This website does not concern itself with those subjects, rather it is for those of us who are starting with little or nothing, trying to make that step from employee to entrepreneur.  The best foundation for starting small while thinking big is obviously eCommerce.  The Internet is growing at an incredible rate, and eCommerce, while already well established,  is primed for exponential expansion over the next decade.  Combined with the global reach, automation and negligible operating expenses involved in an Internet startup, web-based business is clearly the best vehicle ever available.

Like any vehicle, however, it must be piloted intelligently.

Because of the low investment and global reach, every two-bit loser is mounting his scam on the Internet...  To the aspiring eCommerce entrepreneur, the Internet is a savage jungle with predators around every corner, and leeches under every leaf.  Income Engineering.com was created to provide resources and facilitate the exchange of ideas and experiences between those of us who are working to change our fortunes and alter the courses of our lives by leveraging the remarkable resources available on today's Internet.  Hopefully, together, we can avoid some of the pitfalls, shorten the learning curve, avoid some of the headaches and losses, and reach our goals a little faster.

The subject matter of this website makes it especially attractive to spammers, so membership is required for full access.  Membership is inexpensive in order to permit the participation of those just starting in eCommerce, but will help finance the development of the website and deter spammers.  (It's easy to create lots of free eMail addresses, but not so easy to create multiple valid PayPal accounts.)

We set out to create the website that we wish we had when we were starting out online.  As the site develops, there will be more original content available, and we will be accepting articles from respected members as well.  There is also a forum for the exchange of information, assistance, resources and perhaps some moral support as well.  As a member, you will have your own profile page and the opportunity to network with other Internet professionals to further common goals.

After all, Networking is what the Internet is all about.
